Section III - Family Friendly The Chattooga River’s Section III offers its paddlers breathtaking scenery and incredible whitewater. Section III is a beginner float trip full of an abundant amount of wildlife and plants throughout the National Forest. Participants will enjoy a day of Class II and III rapids with a Class IV ending at Bulls Sluice. This trip is perfect for families, youth groups, and first time rafters. Participants are in for the ride of a lifetime as they battle through some of the Southeast’s most notorious Class IV and V rapids east of the Mississippi River. The climax of the trip is towards the end as the rafts plunge down the notorious Five Falls and Soc-em-Dog. This trip is built for adventurists and thrill seekers.
