Directions to the Chattooga River

From Asheville – Hwy 19 South through Balsam and in to Sylva, NC. Shortly past Sylva you will pick up Hwy 441 South which will bring you in to GA. Proceed South on Hwy 441 in to Clayton, GA. Turn left on to Hwy 76 East and go 7 miles. We will be on the right hand side of the road.
Drive time: 100 miles/2.5 hours
From Atlanta – Interstate 85 North to the left hand fork on to Hwy 985 North. Hwy 985 will change in to Hwy 441 North. Take 441 North in to Clayton, GA. Turn right on to Hwy 76 East and go 7 miles. We will be on the right hand side of the road.
Drive time: 110 miles/2 hours
From Birmingham – Interstate 20 East in to Atlanta. Pick up Interstate 85 North North to the left hand fork on to Hwy 985 North. Hwy 985 will change in to Hwy 441 North. Take 441 North in to Clayton, GA. Turn right on to Hwy 76 East and go 7 miles. We will be on the right hand side of the road.
Drive time: 270 miles/4.5 hours
From Chattanooga – Interstate 75 North to exit 20 (Cleveland bypass). Stay on the bypass and pick up Hwy 64 East. Take Hwy 64 East past the Ocoee River and in to NC. Pick up Hwy 19/129 South in to Blairsville, GA. Pick up Hwy 76 East and take it in to Clayton, GA. Proceed 7 miles east of downtown Clayton on Hwy 76. We will be on the right hand side of the road .
Drive time: 150 miles/3.5 hours
From Greenville – Hwy 123 West (off of White Horse Rd) in to Clemson, SC. Pick up Hwy 76 West. Proceed on Hwy 76 West, cross over the Chattooga River and proceed 1 mile. We will be on the left hand side of the road.
Drive time: 80 miles/1.8 hours
From Helen – Hwy 17 S East towards Clarkesville, GA. Follow Hwy 17/75S/Unicoi Turnpike until you reach Hwy 385 N. Take 385 N to 441 N and proceed on 441 all the way in to Clayton, GA. Turn right on to Hwy 76 East and go 7 miles. We will be on the right hand side of the road.
